Guess who's back from Japan? Alicia, that's who!
And the reason for the very noticeable absence of unpleasant, four-letter words would be because.. well, it was actually fun this time around! There were loads of parties and showcases in between the work and especially afterwards, becaaaause.. we finally managed to get the new Firebolt working properly! It wasn't completely my doing and rather more by accident, but the Japanese seem to be convinced it was all me!
AND NOW I GET A BLOODY RAISE AND A FANCY TITLE! YES! GOOD-BYE, ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING; HELLO, MUGGLE PHYSICS SPECIALIST! I GET AN OFFICE! I AM SO EXCITED!
Now to all you Quidditch obsessees, expect the new model to have a revolutionary response system, incredibly high speed-capability and balance like never before, thanks in part to Muggle Aerodynamics! GO SCIE You'll just have to wait for more specific details, but there are the basics!
Though I was stuck in meetings and various labratories (again) and occasionally an entertaining party or two, I did get a good look at Tokyo, Mount Fuji and a few other things these past few days. I'll paste in a few pictures here.

Right.
So there's Great News and.. Shi Not So Great News.
Great News:
WE HAVE YET ANOTHER WEASLEY, MATES! And the wedding was one of the most beautiful I've been to, hands down. Congratulations again to you two lovebirds! Best wishes continuing to come your way.
Part B of Great News:
Visiting Hogwarts provided me with the opportunity to visit every Quidditch player's Happy Place: THE BLOODY PITCH, OF COURSE! Blimey, have I missed that chunk of grass. I even remembered to hug Goal Post 3, the one I flew into and passed out on after making that killer shot in 7th year. Ah, those were the days.
AND NOW, NOT SO GREAT NEWS:
FIREBOLT is being a right ARSE and is sending me back to bloody JAPAN again for THREE. FUCKING. WEEKS.. TOMORROW. As if the LAST three weeks didn't waste enough of my life, they think this time around will be BETTER? Uh, DOUBT IT. And they honestly expect me to be able to pack all of the CRAP I need in less than 24 HOURS? DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO WASH, DRY AND IRON TWENTY-THREE BLOODY BLOUSES, SEVENTEEN PENCIL SKIRTS AND NINE PAIRS OF DRESS PANTS? TOO LONG. NOT TO MENTION ALL MY UNDERWEAR, TOILETRIES, ERRANDS THAT NEED RUNNING AND THAT I STILL NEED TO GET A HAIRCUT BEFORE I LEAVE. BOLLOCKS.
So if SOMEONE would be SPECTACULAR enough to get me out of the flat today, that would be GRAND. I need ALCOHOL and something to distract me from my SHITTY ARSE JOB AND SHITTY ARSE FUCKING PACKING DAMN THE JAPANESE!
